Moving dawn service in Croydon today in remembrance of those who served and currently serve in defence of our country and the cause of peace.

The Anzac spirit lives on through the courage, mateship, resilience and sacrifice our diggers embodied. These qualities continue to shape what it means to be Australian: looking out for one another, standing strong in difficult times, and valuing service above self.

Thank you to the Croydon RSL and volunteers for the important work they do in our community.

Awesome morning at HE Parker Reserve in Heathmont for our Celebrate Maroondah Dogs Day Out! The weather was perfect and it was great to so many different and well behaved dogs and their owners enjoying local stalls, doggie treats and activities.

Thanks for our community for participating, and the Council staff who organised the morning. I’m proud to support these events which embody everything we love in Maroondah - community, the outdoors and enjoying them with our pets.

Finished your drink while you're out and about? Don't bin it… basket it!

You might have spotted new baskets on public bins around Maroondah. They're part of our CDS Basket trial and they're all about keeping materials in the loop instead of sending them to landfill.

Here's the idea: instead of tossing your empty bottle or can in the bin, pop it in the basket. Local collectors and community groups can then pick them up and return them for the 10c refund. Council doesn't collect these containers. The baskets simply make it easier for valuable materials to be recycled instead of wasted.

It's circular economy in action, right here in Maroondah. ♻️
