I hope everyone had a lovely Xmas and has started the new year with a bang…. That saying this page is very quiet and needs some more interesting posts.
I did have a little trip into Cranbrook over Xmas to visit my great grandfather’s grave . Thankyou to Dot Kleeman for organising the head stone.

Condolences to all of his family and friends ❤️

Phyllis Toovey (nee Taylor)
💖💖 101 years old 💖💖
passed away peacefully surrounded by family Friday 13th June in Kojonup.
Raised on a farm, in Mt Barker, she was eldest daughter of 8 children. She married Ted Toovey and lived at Boyacup Farm, Cranbrook from 1944, where they raised 3 children George, Neville and Robyn (dec).
They retired to Perth from 1992-1999.
From 1999 she lived at Elverd St Kojonup, surrounded by terrific neighbours and community. Since 2014 she has been very well cared for at Spring Haven Lodge, our sincere gratitude to all the wonderful staff over this entire time.
She will be remembered for her love of creating beautiful gardens, wonderful cooking and love of sports, especially the Westcoast Eagles and Wimbledon. Loving and devoted grandmother to Andrew, Mara, Rohan, Matthew, Tim, and Kim.
Great Grandmother to 11.

The family will be holding a private funeral in Albany, 27th June.

Hi, I purchased a XW GT which belonged to a Peter John Hope who passed away sadly in 2007. Apparently this was his car. He lived in the cranbrook area. We have friends that know of his family back in the day, but dont have contact any more. This car was purchased by him in 1985 and sold 2 years later to a gentleman in albany who parked it up in a shed for 30 odd years. Would love to know if anyone would remember the car, have any details or know of family we can get in contact with?
This has been sent in by Mike Jgku, does anyone have any info for him?
