🚨HAPPY FATHER’S DAY FROM VICSES CRAIGIEBURN! 🚨

Today we’re celebrating all the amazing SES dads, grandads, stepdads and father figures who somehow manage to be heroes at home and heroes in the community! 🧡

To the dads who drop everything when the pager goes off, head out in the middle of the night, give up weekends and family time, and somehow still manage to make it home in time to mow the lawn… 😂

But today, we also want to recognise the families behind these dads. ❤️

To the partners, kids, parents and loved ones who understand when Dad gets called away, support the long hours, wait up for them to come home and share them with the community — thank you.

Your support, patience and understanding make it possible for our volunteers to do what they do. You’re an incredibly important part of the SES family, and we couldn’t do it without you. 🧡

From all of us at VICSES Craigieburn, Happy Father’s Day to all the incredible dads — and a very special thank you to the families standing beside them. 🧡

This morning, members from SES Craigieburn and SES Whittlesea Unit were fortunate to visit Ambulance Victoria Air Ambulance for an incredible behind-the-scenes tour of their facilities.

We were given a fascinating insight into the vital work their dedicated crews do every day, from the aircraft and specialised medical equipment to learning about the coordination and teamwork involved in delivering critical care across Victoria.

A huge thank you to the Air Ambulance team for taking the time to share your knowledge, answer our many questions, and provide such a welcoming and informative experience. It was a fantastic opportunity to strengthen our understanding of the important role you play in supporting our communities.

We appreciate everything you do and thank you for your ongoing dedication to keeping Victorians safe. 💙🚁🧡

Congratulations to Kevin O’Callaghan, ESM, OAM, who yesterday received his award at Government House from Professor Margaret Gardner AC, Governor of Victoria.
Kevin was recognised for his outstanding service to the Craigieburn community through the Craigieburn War Memorial, the VICSES Craigieburn, and numerous other community organisations.
A well-deserved honour recognising many years of dedicated community service.

As a founding member of the VICSES Craigieburn Unit, Kevin’s dedication and service have left a lasting impact on both the Unit and the wider community, and members congratulate him on this well-deserved recognition.
