Tonight we responded to Coronet Bay following reports of a suspected carbon monoxide (CO) leak at a residential premises.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus conducted atmospheric monitoring using gas detection equipment to assess CO levels within the structure.

As a precaution, all occupants were evacuated to a safe outdoor location and assessed by Ambulance Victoria at the scene.

Once safe the occupants were allowed to return indoors.

Good evening everyone!

May 18th - 22nd is National Volunteer week, so we would like to start the week by saying a huge thankyou to all our amazing volunteers we have in this community - and vollies from other amazing organisations!

These people give up their time and put in so much effort to go above and beyond in times of emergency and crisis, fundraising, organising and running community events, plus the many, many other great things!

National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the incredible people who make CFA what it is, our volunteers.

This year’s National Volunteer Week theme, Your Year to Volunteer, is a timely reminder not only to celebrate the impact our volunteers make every day, but also to encourage new people to join CFA.

Visit www.cfa.vic.gov.au for more information!

πŸ“£ Calling all community members, local businesses, market operators and stall holders!

We want your input on the future of markets across Bass Coast.

Bass Coast Shire Council is reviewing how markets are run on Council-managed land, and your feedback will help shape a new set of guidelines to make markets work better for everyone across our region.

We’ve got tailored surveys for community members, market operators & stallholders, and local businesses, so make sure you jump in and share your ideas on what you’d love to see.

πŸ‘‰ Have your say: https://engage.basscoast.vic.gov.au/markets

Today we recognise those who's duty it is to run towards danger when others are told to leave.

On International Firefighter Day, we thank our incredible CFA members and all of those who protect communities in times of crisis and every day in between.

Your courage, commitment and care don't go unnoticed.
