In just seven days, we’ll be stepping down the rabbit hole for the first performance of 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹! ✨

Our students have been rehearsing, creating and preparing for their chance to take the stage—and now there’s only one week left.

🎟️ Tickets are $5 per person and available from the school office or via the QR code.

🔬 𝗔 𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗭𝗬 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗧 𝗤𝗨𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗢𝗡!

Last week, our Infants students had a fantastic day exploring Questacon on their Canberra excursion!

There was plenty to discover, from watching the lightning machine create some spectacular lightning ⚡ to some very brave students taking on the giant slide!

The best review of the day came from one of our students. When asked, “How good was it?”

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿: “𝗖𝗿𝗮𝘇𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱!” 😂

We think that sums up the day pretty well!

🔔 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗬 𝗧𝗢 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡

This week, our SSS focus is on making a calm and responsible transition from the playground back into the classroom.

Students are practising how to stop when the bell rings, follow their classroom transition routine, calm their bodies after active play and enter the classroom safely and respectfully.

These small routines make a big difference—helping students settle quickly and be 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻.

📅 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧’𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞

We have a big couple of weeks ahead at E A Southee!

🥓 We kick things off Monday with our 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 from 8am. We’re looking forward to our students sharing breakfast with their dads, grandfathers and other special father figures. Haven’t returned an order form? 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗢𝗞 — 𝘄𝗲’𝘃𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱!

🎒 On Wednesday, we’re excited to welcome our 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 for their first transition morning. We can’t wait to have our newest little learners at E A Southee!

🎭 And then... 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 is almost here! Rehearsals are ramping up as we head towards our dress rehearsal and three performances the following week. 🐇✨

💙 𝗙𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥’𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗧 𝗘 𝗔 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗘

We have a couple of special Father’s Day activities coming up!

🎁 Our P&C 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 is on this Thursday and Friday, giving students the opportunity to choose something special for Dad, Grandad or another important father figure.

🥓 Then on Monday morning, we’re inviting our dads, grandfathers and father figures to join us from 8am for 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗻 & 𝗲𝗴𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲!

📋 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 went home earlier this week. Please return these by tomorrow to help us with catering numbers.

🎭 𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗪𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗…

There’s a lot happening before the curtain even goes up! ✨

Rehearsals, costumes, sets, singing, dancing and plenty of practice—our students have been working hard behind the scenes to bring 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 to life.

🤝 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗦 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥

Not every disagreement is bullying. Sometimes friends and classmates disagree, become frustrated or see things differently—and learning how to work through these moments is an important skill.

This week, our SSS focus is helping students learn how to 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻, 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 and 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 when disagreements happen.

It’s another step in helping our students understand the difference between everyday conflict and bullying, while building the skills to manage relationships positively.
