On ANZAC Day, we reflect on the spirit of mateship, bravery, and community that continues to guide us.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.

31st March 2026, marks the end of the statutory Bush Fire Danger Period (BFDP) for the majority of NSW including Mid Coast and Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA.

While many landholders may no longer require a fire permit, you are still required to notify the RFS and your neighbours of your intention to burn at least 24 hours before lighting the fire.

Today 3 members of Coopernook Brigade have received national medals for long service with a total of 55 years of service combined. Well done and congratulations to Sherrie Joanne and Daniel for their past present and future dedicated service to the NSW rural fire service and the community they protect.

At our general meeting held last night - We were joined by the MP from port Macquarie and his colleague.
We were honoured to be handed another parliamentary hansard record for our dedicated service.

Yesterday Coopernook brigade delivered Santa to the Coopernook Hotel safely for all the boys and girls young and old.
