The Fair Work Commission has just announced a 6% increase to the national minimum wage, and a 4.75% increase to award wages.

From 1 July, nearly 3 million workers across Australia will receive a pay rise as a result of the Annual Wage Review.

This decision directly affects workers on minimum and award wages, while also helping to set the benchmark for wages across the country.

United Workers Union joined unions across Australia in pushing for a fair increase because workers deserve wages that keep up with the cost of living.

Workers spoke up, unions fought for better pay, and together we helped make this happen.

Thank you to every United Workers Union member who signed petitions, shared their story and stood together for fair wages.
