Grandparents Day at the Library! 🫶📚

Bec started the morning with three great books celebrating grandparents - Spot Visits His Grandparents, Grandpas Love Hugs and Grandparents Love me. After the books everyone enjoyed the craft, Lego and puzzle stations.

A big thank you to the Coolamon Central School Child and Family Studies class for their wonderful help with our activity stations and to everyone who joined us.

What a lovely first week back for Storytime and LEGO Club! We loved seeing so many familiar faces and welcoming some new ones too! ❤️

RRL Reads: Baby Food Bible by Julia Tellidis and Lauren Skora

I absolutely loved ‘Baby Food Bible’ by Julia Tellidis and Lauren Skora. It was the perfect simple starting solids refresher, and a very welcome reminder that feeding a baby really doesn’t have to be complicated!
I loved that the food in this book, we’re already eating in meals as a family, slightly modified for baby. No special shopping list or fancy ingredients! Just simple, fresh, nourishing food from the fridge and cupboard.
It also gives really helpful guidance on how much to offer, and encourages a relaxed mix of purées and baby-led weaning rather than making you feel like you have to choose one “right” way.
First-baby-me: definitely overthought solids.
Second-baby-me: needed this book to say, “Bec… just give the baby some dinner.” 😂
Such a warm, practical and reassuring guide whether you’re starting solids for the first, second, third (or beyond!) time.
Highly recommend!
