Comboyne Country House A holiday rental in a Mountain Pioneer's Homestead, sleeping groups of up to 14 guests. All rooms have French-doors opening onto the verandah.

It wraps all the way around and widens to an entertainment area at the back. The five bedrooms cater for groups of up to fourteen guests. Two bedrooms convert to additional living rooms for small groups. Your holiday homestead has over two acres of gardens to explore, including river frontage with swimming hole, Landcare bush regeneration and food garden. The homestead was built by a pioneer of th

e Comboyne Plateau and remains in the family after six generations. All proceeds from rental of the property supports its ongoing maintenance. Your holiday homestead includes:
1 king-size master bedroom
3 double bedrooms
1 single bed room with 2 sets of bunks & twin singles
2 living rooms (with wood fire, library of books and board games)
Kitchen and dining room
Outdoor dining and gas BBQ
2 bathrooms
Laundry facilities
A wide verandah to relax with views in every direction


Over two acres of gardens to explore, including:
River frontage with swimming hole,
Landcare bush regeneration project,
Two 100 yr old magnolia trees
A range of food trees including lemons, peaches & walnuts. Diverse birdlife and previous sightings of playtpus, echidna, bandicoot and quoll. One acre fenced around the house to improve safety for children and dogs. Linens are available at an additional cost ($10 per bed) or you can bring your own.

We want goats to manage the weeds naturally! And also looking for local properties to collaborate - the goats could rotate between a few local properties to manage the weeds that your cows wont touch (privet, blackberries, etc)

The Comboyne Country House is now available for long term rental! All five bedrooms have french doors onto the wrap around verandah. You will live a peaceful lifestyle in the crater of an extinct volcano, by the river and walking distance to the mountain village. Your home is only a 45 minute commute to Port Macquarie and Taree commercial centres for work, training, shopping, recreation and beaches. It has been in my family for five generations and I have undertaken extensive renovations over the years. Previously set up for holiday rental, it is now available for $350/week on a permanent rental lease. I have lived here myself and highly recommend the lifestyle! Available furnished or unfurnished. We have just confirmed a 12 month booking for the Comboyne Country House and therefore no holiday bookings will be taken in that time. We the decendents of the mountain pioneer who built the homestead, welcome the guests to the mountain village for the duration of their stay.
