AHLIA'S KINDNESS DAY!

Today is one of our favourite days of the year, where we celebrate what it means to be a good person and how we should all treat others with kindness. It also supports a fantastic charity Ahlias Kindness Day.

Even before the morning bell rung, we had a beautiful act of kindness with 2 students presenting Mr La Roche with some tie-died socks they had made for any students who had forgotten the Blue free dress.

We are so proud of the way our students consider others and treat everyone with compassion and care.

We can't wait to share all of the fun that students have had today!

THANK YOU to our amazing school community for supporting Mrs Draper’s Canteen! 💚💛

We would also like to give a special thank you to our wonderful local businesses Spry's Meat Market and the Forrest French Hot Bread Shop for helping make our menu items possible.

Today Mrs Draper had an incredible 19 sushi orders! If you’re hoping to order for Wednesday, get in quick, they won’t last long!

WALK SAFELY TO SCHOOL DAY

It was great to see so many families and students walk safely to school today.

Whether from their own home, or meeting with the school group at Soldier's Park and walking to St Brigid's, walking is a great way to start the day.

Thanks to all those families and students who were able to come along!

IT'S WALK TO SCHOOL DAY THIS FRIDAY!

Walk Safely to School Day asks that we all consider our transport habits and try to incorporate more walking as part of a healthy, active way to get around. And although walking all the way to school isn’t realistic for many of us, it’s quite easy to figure out how you can build a walk into your family’s daily routine.

You can teach your child the healthy habit of walking more by:
• Walking with them the whole way to school.
• If they get the bus or train, walk past your usual stop and get on at the next stop.
• If you have to drive, we will be meeting at Soldier's Memorial Park at 8:00 am and will then walk together to school. Please note that parents must accompany their children to provide supervision during the walk. Rob and I will also be there to walk with families and support students along the way.

Regular exercise like walking with your child not only helps them (and you!) beat chronic problems like obesity, heart disease, behavioural and mental health issues and diabetes. It also gives you a great opportunity to teach your child safe ways to behave around roads and traffic.

Remember, Active Kids are Healthy Kids so get planning your own Walk Safely to School Day journey for Friday 22 MAY 2026!

For families who live too far away to walk the entire distance, we will be meeting at Soldier's Memorial Park at 8:00 am and will then walk together to school.

Now in its 27th year, National Walk Safely to School Day (WSTSD) is an annual event when all Primary School children will be encouraged to walk and commute safely to school. It is a Community Event seeking to promote Road Safety, Health, Public Transport and the Environment.
