Some important tips when burning off

Pre-season training at Coimadai CFA!

A warm spring day provided the perfect conditions to get stuck into some pre-season training, with the crew practising drafting water from a static water source and brushing up on some important firefighting skills.

It’s all about making sure the crew, trucks and equipment are ready to go when we’re called upon.

Great work by the team today 👌

⚠🔥 CFA survey results
😲More than 80 per cent would wait too long to leave.

A CFA survey has found most Victorians living in bushfire-prone areas understand leaving early is the best way to protect themselves and their families during a bushfire, but most would wait too long to act.

📌Remember - Leaving early is the safest option to protect yourself and your family. Leaving early means leaving the area before there are any signs of a fire – not when you can see flames or smell smoke.
How much are you willing to risk?

A huge congratulations to the Coimadai CFA members who took on this year’s Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb! 🚒🔥

Together with firefighters from across Australia, they climbed 28 floors in full firefighting gear to raise vital funds for Lifeline, Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and the 000 Foundation.

An incredible $1 million+ was raised for these three amazing charities — helping support cancer research, crisis support and those who need it most.

A massive effort by the Coimadai crew. Proud to see our brigade stepping up for such important causes! 💙🚒
