The City is NOT currently conducting a survey by phone.

A quick heads-up if you’re heading to Wiigulga this Thursday 👋

Wiigulga Sports Complex will be closed during the day on Thursday 17 September due to a planned power outage.

The Complex will re-open at 4.30pm, with usual afternoon and evening activities going ahead.

More than three years ago, Odin came into Chloe’s life when she had just moved out of home at 18. Fast forward to today and he’s her best friend, nap and cuddle buddy, comforter and much-loved member of the family. He’s also got a few furry siblings, including his sister Suki 🐱 and two dachshund brothers. 🐶🐶

For Chloe, adopting Odin was the beginning of a lifelong friendship.

This charming boy has plenty of love to give and is still hoping someone will come along who has room in their heart - and on their lap - for him.

Alfred is a professional lap warmer, enthusiastic conversationalist and loyal little shadow. He’ll follow you around the house, chat away with you and, when it’s time to relax, curl up on your lap and purr himself to sleep. 🐱

Basically, Alfred would like to be involved in everything you do. And he’s pretty sure there’s no such thing as too many cuddles.

Meet Liz, a library volunteer who discovered that gaining experience also meant finding connection, confidence and community.

While studying a Certificate III in Library Studies through TAFE, Liz applied for a library position. Although she wasn't successful, she was encouraged to volunteer to build experience alongside her studies, and she's never looked back. One of Liz's favourite experiences has been Baby Rhyme Time. Spending time with young families quickly became a highlight, combining her lifelong love of books with the opportunity to support the community.

Beyond building practical skills, volunteering has given Liz a welcome break from life on the farm and the chance to spend time with others in a friendly, supportive environment. What surprised her most was just how quickly she felt part of the team.
