๐Ÿ๏ธ Riders wanted for a short 10-minute student research interview looking at motorcycle protective gear and how riders in Australia view riding gear, safety gear and clothing choices.

๐Ÿ‘‰How safe is your gear? https://www.motocap.com.au/

Riders wanted for a short student research interview

The Australian Motorcycle Council has been contacted by Patrik Lojan, a second-year student at Avans University of Applied Sciences in the Netherlands.

Patrik is working on a university project looking at motorcycle protective gear and how riders in Australia view riding gear, safety gear and clothing choices.

An interview has already been completed with Patrik, and it was a straightforward 10-minute chat. Weโ€™d encourage other Australian riders to consider assisting if they are happy to share their views.

The interview does not seek personal information โ€” it is about rider views and experiences with motorcycle gear.

If you are willing to help, please contact Patrik directly:

Motorists are advised that night works on Hogbin Drive will commence today, Tuesday 9 June and Wednesday 10 June between 6pm and 5am.

The works will involve lane closures under traffic control while road maintenance is carried out at two locations:

๐Ÿ“ Tuesday 9 June โ€“ Hogbin Drive near John Paul College. Southbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane under traffic control.

๐Ÿ“ Wednesday 10 June โ€“ Hogbin Drive near Hi-Tech Drive. Traffic in both directions will be reduced to a single lane under traffic control.

Traffic controllers and temporary traffic signals will be in place. Motorists should expect minor delays and allow additional travel time where possible.

We thank the community for their patience while these essential works are completed.

New reform ensures not criminalising patients who are taking a legitimate, legal medicine. However, there are strict parameters, it is not a โ€˜green lightโ€™ to drive high.

Chatting to the TODAY show this morning about our proposed reforms to make sure drivers who use medicinal Cannabis arenโ€™t automatically penalised with drug presence offences.

This is a commonsense reform that means patients who are taking legally-prescribed cannabis will no longer face criminalisation for driving with small amounts of THC in their system.

This is a good day for hundreds of thousands of people across the state who have been taking medicinal cannabis since it was made legal in 2016.

I want to be clear that this is not a โ€˜green lightโ€™ to drive high.

This reform ensures weโ€™re not criminalising patients who are taking a legitimate, legal medicine.
