After three call-outs yesterday to branches on roads, 6.30 this morning saw a skylight leak on a roof in Cobden. We made a temporary repair to tide the residents over until a plumber can replace the fitting. Stay safe out there! 🧡

Our crew had a 2am page to a road crash in Scott’s Creek, this morning. A tricky extrication but mother and son were both rescued safely and handed over to Ambulance Victoria. Many thanks to our CFA mates who are always with us on these jobs. 🧡

Last weekend one of our newer members attained their Chainsaw Operators accreditation over two days in Hamilton. 🧡 Then today, a skills maintenance course was held at Brucknell Scout Camp for already accredited south-west members to hone their skills so that they can pass on any new tips and tricks to their units. 🧡 ‘Tree down’ jobs account for most of our call outs and only accredited members are able to use a chainsaw at a job. This maintains the safety and professionalism of what we do. 🧡
