Get to know the friendly folk at Belmont Park Croquet Club and give the game a go at their MOVEtober come and try sessions! 🧢

Come along to learn the basics through coaching, fun activities and games, followed by a complimentary morning tea with club members and participants 😊

You can join for one, two or all three sessions. No experience needed and all equipment is provided.

Don't miss your last chance to Get in the Game at Belmont Museum 🏈

Drop by Belmont Museum this month and explore a journey through the City of Belmont’s local sporting history.

Belmont Museum will be closed from Monday 12 October to Thursday 29 October while we prepare for an exciting new exhibition 🪡🧱🛖

Whilst you won't be able to access the museum in this short break, Ruth Faulkner Library's operations won't be interrupted, and you can visit us as usual.

A big shout out to local sporting talent Stella Aland, who has been selected to pitch at the 2026 Barclay Cup 🧢🏆

Being held later this month in Melbourne, the tournament encourages participation by welcoming multiple teams from each state depending on players' interest levels. Stella got involved with baseball after trying her hand at tee-ball and discovering her passion for pitching ⚾

We were proud to award Stella with a Sporting Donation to help with her interstate travel. It's an incredible opportunity and big achievement for Stella, her family, and our community. We'll be cheering for you!

We've put our woodchipper to work and processed green waste to help you refresh your garden going into the warmer months.

Please note there is a limit of one trailer load per resident (proof of residency required), while stocks last! In accordance with WA Transport Laws please ensure you bring a tarpaulin to cover your mulch load and secure the load 🛻

Bring your old items to the City of Belmont Operations Centre and our team will take care of the rest, making sure everything is handled and recycled the right way.

Please note: we have two separate drop-off days.
📅 Sunday 13 September Asbestos and e-waste drop-off
📅 Sunday 20 September White goods and e-waste drop-off
⚠️ Asbestos will only be accepted on Sunday 13 September and will not be accepted on Sunday 20 September.

If your young one loves fantasy, plays Dungeons and Dragons, or has a bunch of map ideas, join us for a creative, hands-on Fantasy Map Making and Writing Workshop!

Using coffee, paint, dice, spray, and ink, they can design a fantasy map and use it to guide their own creative writing. Get your quills ready!

Fishing along the Swan River is a favourite local pastime, and a little care helps keep it enjoyable for everyone, including our local wildlife 🦢

Please take fishing line, lures and hooks home with you or place broken gear in the bin, as leftover gear can harm birds and animals near our waterways.

If you spot an injured waterbird, you can help by calling WA Seabird Rescue on 6102 8464 with the exact location. To report deliberate harm to wildlife, contact the RSPCA on 1300 278 358.
