GET READY FOR INK β€” TWO DAYS TO GO! πŸŽ’

INK is almost here, so it’s time to start getting organised for Friday.

Students coming to INK should remember to bring:

πŸ’§ A refillable water bottle β€” chilled refill stations will be available throughout the day
β˜• Morning tea β€” please bring your own
πŸ“ A notebook and pen β€” you’ll want somewhere to capture ideas, experiment and write
πŸ“š Money/card for books β€” The Book Tree will be at INK with books available to purchase, plus opportunities for author signings
πŸ’‘ Your ideas β€” bring your curiosity, creativity and willingness to try something new

If you have pre-ordered lunch during registration, that will be waiting for you on the day. Payments via cash or eftpos.

And everything else?
We’ve got it covered.
Your presenters are ready.
Your workshops are waiting.

INK is nearly here.

YOUR WORDS COULD GO FURTHER…

We’ve talked about the workshops.
We’ve introduced the presenters.
We’ve told you what to expect at INK.
But perhaps we haven’t told you everything.

There might be something else waiting for the writers, storytellers and students who have something to say.

Something that could take the ideas sparked at INK beyond the festival itself.

Could it involve your writing?

Could your words end up somewhere unexpected?

Could there possibly be another opportunity coming?

You’ll have to wait and see.

✨ Revealed at INK 2026.

YOUR INK DAY | WHAT TO EXPECT

INK is almost here β€” and this is what the day will look like.

Students will begin together with our welcome and keynote before heading into the workshops they selected during registration.

Across the day, there will be time to:

🎀 hear from our keynote presenter
✍️ take part in three workshop sessions
β˜• stop for morning tea
🍴 enjoy lunch
πŸ“š browse books available to purchase from The Book Tree
πŸ’‘ explore new ideas, stories and possibilities
🀝 connect with presenters and the wider INK experience

Because students have chosen different workshops, no two INK days will look exactly the same, your experience will be shaped by the sessions you selected.

MEET THE PRESENTERS | TIFFANY FITCH

Ready to step into the darker side of storytelling?

Writer and editor Tiffany Fitch is coming to INK 2026 with a workshop for students who like their stories creepy, unsettling and just a little bit terrifying.

In Into the Darkness: The Art of Horror Writing, Tiffany will explore how writers use atmosphere, suspense, setting and memorable monsters to create fear and keep readers on edge.

Students will then put those techniques into practice, experimenting with their own ideas and beginning to craft original horror writing designed to get under the reader’s skin.

For students who love horror, suspense, dark fiction β€” or simply want to push their creative writing in a completely new direction β€” this one is going to be fun.

MEET THE PRESENTERS | GRAHAM PERRETT

How can the right words influence decisions, represent communities and make a difference?
Author, former Federal MP, teacher and lawyer Graham Perrett is bringing a lifetime of experience in communication, leadership and public life to INK 2026.

In Words That Make a Difference, Graham will explore how strong writing and carefully chosen language can inform, persuade and give people a voice.

Drawing on his experiences across education, law and Parliament, Graham will show students that communication is about far more than getting words onto a page β€” it can shape conversations, advocate for others and create change.

A great workshop for students interested in leadership, advocacy, public speaking or becoming more confident communicators.
