Years 3–5 and selected Year 6 students – Learn to Swim Clothes Day

Wednesday 16 September is Learn to Swim Clothes Day!

Students will wear their bathers underneath their clothes and must bring a short-sleeved T-shirt and shorts to wear during their swimming lesson.

No long-sleeved tops or long pants are allowed.

Today, we welcomed the Waimea Heights Primary School Jump Rope for Heart Demo Team to our school and what a fantastic performance it was!

Their energy, skill and teamwork blew us all away. We left feeling inspired and buzzing with excitement after learning some amazing new skipping tricks!

We can’t wait to put them into action when our own Jump Rope for Heart program kicks off next term.

A huge thank you to the Waimea Heights team for visiting us and sharing their skills.

🏊‍♀️ Swimming and Water Safety Program 2026 🏊‍♂️

Today, our Swimming and Water Safety Program kicked off for 2026, with our Years 3–5 students and selected Year 6 students diving into the first day of the program!

There were plenty of big smiles, a few nerves, lots of laughter and so much enthusiasm as students began.

We are incredibly proud of the positive attitude, resilience and courage shown by all our students. It was wonderful to see students supporting one another, stepping outside their comfort zone and embracing new challenges with confidence.

We can’t wait to see their swimming skills, water safety knowledge and confidence continue to grow over the next two weeks!

Last night, our students and staff took part in the Light Night Glow Run/Walk, and what a fun night it was!

It was wonderful to see so many of our school community getting involved and having fun. There were plenty of smiles, colourful lights and lots of energy as everyone made their way around the course.

We are already looking forward to doing it all again next year!

Week 7 - Our Learn to Swim program commences tomorrw and will continue daily for the next 2 weeks. The program is for all grade 3-5 students and a select number of grade 6 students. 🏊🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

On Wednesday, our students celebrated Physical Education Day by participating in a range of fun and engaging activities throughout the day! 🏃‍♀️⚽🏀

A big thank you to Football Tasmania and Basketball Tasmania for delivering sessions for our students.

It was wonderful to see so many students taking the opportunity to get active while having fun!
