As one of the largest employers of Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) in WA, local governments play an important role in promoting environmental health career pathways to attract people into the profession.

An Environmental Health Officer is a health professional that is responsible for improving life expectancy and quality of life by regulating matters in improving food safety and housing, mitigating infectious diseases, air and water pollution and the effects of natural disasters.

If you want to make a difference in the community and have in interest in the food sciences, health & environmental sciences, consider a career as an Environmental Health Officer.

Community organisations in Claremont are now eligible to order up to 2 repellent dispensers as part of the Department of Health’s repellent dispenser community initiative. 🦟

This initiative aims to raise awareness about mosquito-borne diseases and to provide communities with a practical way to prevent mosquito bites.
