Today we said goodbye to Max Trenorden.
Max entered the Western Australian Parliament in 1986, beginning a remarkable career of almost three decades in public service. Throughout his time in Parliament, he was a passionate and determined advocate for regional Western Australia and the people he represented.
As Leader of the Parliamentary National Party, Max was respected for his strong convictions, his commitment to regional communities and his willingness to stand up for what he believed was right.
Beyond his political career, Max was known for his generosity, warmth and willingness to support others. He took great pride in seeing a new generation of regional representatives step forward and was always generous with his time, advice and encouragement.
His contribution to public life has left a lasting mark on regional Western Australia and on The Nationals.
Our deepest condolences are with Max’s family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
