Bethlehem has officially unveiled its new “40 in 10” Bethlehem Recreation Master Plan, a community-driven roadmap that will help guide investment and improvements across more than 40 parks over the next decade.

The first phase of improvements will focus on Bernie Fritz Park, Madison Park, and Clearview Park, with priorities including ADA accessibility, upgraded fields and courts, and new amenities like splash pads, seating, and shade.

Collaboration is the key to our success.

We held a press conference today with representatives of Lehigh Valley Transportation Study, Lehigh Valley Planning Commission, County of Northampton, and Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to celebrate projects that will increase our residents’ ability to walk and bike safely.

We announced funding for our South Bethlehem Greenway to connect to the Saucon Rail Trail (completed in 2026), our Linden Street two-way conversion project (completed in spring 2026), and more safety funding for our Broad Street corridor project (construction to start in 2026) that will make life much easier for walkers and bikers.

These projects all are central to our citywide bike and Complete Streets plans which will transform what our streets look and feel like.

We are changing how people are able to move in our city thanks to state and federal government support.

An exciting time as we were thrilled to host the First Lady of Pennsylvania, Lori Shapiro, in our city.

We spent time talking about our community and all of the important work that she is undertaking across the state.

And we got to hang out with so many of our wonderful friends! Another beautiful day in Bethlehem!

Big news this weekend!

On Saturday, we announced with Rachel from The Yoga Loft that her new business, Oasis: A Community Wellbeing Hub, will be opening in one of the two retail spaces in the new Walnut Street Garage.

Check out Rachel talking about her new business in the video along with Scott from CAT-Coalition for Appropriate Transportation

The new garage is set to open in November in time for the holiday season with Oasis to open by the end of the year.

Thank you Rachel, we couldn’t be more excited for such a vibrant community addition to our city!

Governor Shapiro came back to Bethlehem today to visit our firefighters and talk about his investments to help departments across the state. But also reminded us to hold our loved ones closely after his family was able to escape the fire at his residence this week. He was optimistic as always and Leo made a new friend and got some quality time with a leader we all look up to. Thanks for coming again Governor.
