Wattle Gully Gold Mine Wattle Gully Gold Mine was first worked in 1853 until around 2010. The mine is approximately 1200 feet deep.

Located just south of the town of Chewton in Central Victoria. Wattle Gully Gold Mine is the oldest preserved working Gold Mine in Australia. Mining commenced in 1853 and continued on and off for over 150 years.
