Last week, Mrs Tobin took a group of seven CPS students to Whitebridge High School for the Wiyellai Coa Aboriginal Cultural Day. The students rotated around three groups, participating in boomerang painting, weaving, scratch art with totems and cultural games. They had a fantastic day, making new friends, listening to stories and enjoying the great activities with some amazing teachers and students from WHS and our surrounding schools. What a brilliant day!

HPGE Dance News! 💃🏻 🩰 🎭

Congratulations to Miller and Marcela on being accepted into the Hunter Regional Infants Dance Ensemble. This is a wonderful HPGE opportunity and a privilege that reflects their dedication and talent in dance.

As members of the ensemble, they will spend two days learning a dance alongside students from across the region before performing at the Hunter Dance Festival in early Term 2. We are incredibly proud of their success and look forward to seeing them represent our school on this special stage.

Congratulations also to Harlow for her outstanding effort and application at the Hunter Region Creative Arts Camp. She embraced the opportunity with a positive attitude and demonstrated a strong commitment to developing her creative skills in Dance.

Students who attended the camp worked incredibly hard as a group and produced an outstanding showcase performance for parents, which received lots of positive feedback.

Last week, Indie represented our school in the Hunter team at the NSWPSSA Primary Girls Basketball Championships that took place in Port Macquarie. Indie played with commitment and skill, as point guard. She made all of us at CPS very proud. Congratulations Indie!

Last week, Duke represented our school in the Hunter team at the NSWPSSA Primary Boys Hockey Championships that took place in Kelso, Bathurst. A massive congratulations to the Hunter team who came 2nd. Duke played with determination and skill. He made all of us at CPS very proud. Congratulations Duke!

Last Thursday Mrs Tobin took a team of Stage 2 and 3 girls to Speers Point Sports Complex for a Soccer Gala Day. The girls had a tough first two games going down to Charlestown East and then Charlestown South but came away with a win in their last game against Hillsborough! All of the girls showed great sportsmanship and represented CPS with pride. Mrs Tobin was so proud of their efforts and their enthusiasm on the day. Well done girls!
