Today we had the pleasure of joining the Assistant Secretary of Polynesia Branch, Stacey Nation and the DFAT Tuvalu Desk Team for a lunch marking the anniversary of the entry into force of the Falepili Union Treaty on 28 August 2024.
It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, reflect on the achievements of the past few years and celebrate the enduring partnership and friendship at the heart of the Falepili Union.
We look forward to continuing to work together to strengthen our shared future and deliver on the commitments of the Treaty.
It was also great to reconnect with the familiar faces of those who had previously served at the Australian High Commission in Funafuti, making the occasion all the more special and memorable!
We parted this afternoon with, of course, our Tuvaluan ‘see you later’- Fetaui, Manuia te A*o!
