Australian Foreign Minister Hon. Penny Wong Visits Embassy of Nepal in Canberra to Sign Book of Condolence

The Hon. Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, visited the Embassy of Nepal in Canberra today to sign the Book of Condolence and conveyed her heartfelt condolences following the devastating floods in Nepal and the tragic loss of lives and property.

Minister Wong expressed solidarity with the people and Government of Nepal, commended the search and rescue efforts undertaken by the Government of Nepal, and acknowledged the tireless work of emergency responders and authorities.

She reaffirmed that Australia stands with Nepal and will always be there to support Nepal during difficult times.

The Hon. Dr Anne Aly, Minister for International Development and Multicultural Affairs, accompanied Minister Wong and joined in expressing condolences and solidarity with the people of Nepal.
