Real comment from a real follower.

We get why this can be confusing, so let’s break it down 👇

When it comes to claiming clothing, it's not about where you wear the item, it's about whether it's specifically for work.

Think of it this way: you might wear black pants to work, but that doesn't change what they are. As black pants are considered everyday clothing and can be worn outside of work too, they're considered a personal expense.

Don't trust everything (or everyone) you hear.

When it comes to tax, it’s best to know the facts.

If you let someone access your account and lodge on your behalf, it’s your responsibility.

Don’t let other people’s actions lead to consequences for you.

Paying for a TFN? That’s fake news 🙅

There are no fees when applying for a TFN, and no need to use third party services.

Put simply, CGT isn’t a separate tax. It’s the income tax you pay on the profit you make when you sell or dispose of an asset.

This includes things like:
🏠 rental properties
📉 shares
💻 crypto assets.

If you dispose of an asset (meaning, you stop owning it) a CGT event may occur. That’s when you’ll need to report a capital gain or capital loss in your tax return.

Capital gain: will increase the tax you need to pay.

Capital loss: can be used to offset other capital gains you make in the future. This will reduce the tax you need to pay, so don’t forget to report these!
