We're proud to support the pioneering 'Electrify 2515 Community Pilot' project: a testbed of community electrification at scale.

This demonstration aims to electrify 500 homes in the north Illawarra area in NSW.

By installing efficient electric appliances like heat pumps, home batteries, rooftop solar and more, optimised by a home energy management system, this community-led trial is generating important evidence to scale up household electrification across Australia.

We’re expanding our support for Amber Electric’s vehicle-to-grid (V2G) project, with an additional $13.6 million in funding to accelerate the rollout of the technology in Australia.

Under the expanded scope, the number of participating households with V2G capability will grow from 50 to 1,000, allowing more EV owners to export power from their cars back to the grid.

'To unlock V2G at scale, we need to bring together customers, car makers, networks and technology providers.' says ARENA CEO Darren Miller.

'This project brings those pieces together to demonstrate how EVs can become an active part of the energy system. That means savings for owners and better utilisation of the grid, which can bring down the cost of the network for everyone.'

ARENA expects the project to generate critical insights into customer behaviour, technology performance and market integration, helping to inform future policy, industry investment and broader adoption of V2G technology in Australia.

First Nations communities are leading the way in Australia’s clean energy transition, grounded in knowledge, connection to Country, and community priorities.

Across the country, communities are designing and delivering their own local energy solutions, with self-determination and long-term benefit at the centre of decision-making.

Through initiatives like community-led microgrids in remote Northern Territory communities, ARENA is supporting First Nations participation and leadership in the transition. We're backing locally led approaches that strengthen resilience, reliability and energy independence.

These projects are empowering communities and delivering more reliable, sustainable power where it’s needed most.

Accelerating low emissions freight is no longer only a climate challenge. It is a priority for economic productivity and system resilience.

Heavy vehicles are one of the hardest parts of Australia’s transport system to decarbonise. At ARENA, we're working with industry to trial, test and scale the technologies and business models needed to reduce emissions across the sector.

At TruckShowX 2026 in the Hunter Valley, ARENA's Transport team shared our vision for low emissions freight and the progress we are making with partners across the country. This includes real world trials, new infrastructure approaches and insights that can support industry to move faster and with more confidence.

We're proudly supporting the TruckShowX event as a sponsor to bring industry together, share practical insights and help accelerate the transition to low emissions freight.

Last year, the Australian Government announced the Cleaner Fuels program, a $1.1b initiative to accelerate low carbon liquid fuels (LCLF) in Australia.

Delivered by the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA), the program will provide production linked incentives over 10 years, targeting projects nearing final investment decision (FID) and ready for near term production.

ICYMI: RELA Australia recently launched the ARENA-backed Assess 2.0 platform, marking an important step forward in the energy transition.

As renewable development accelerates across Australia, access to clear, trusted information has never been more important. For landowners, understanding what is possible on their land is the first step toward participating with confidence.

Assess 2.0 is designed to do exactly that. It empowers landowners with the knowledge and insights they need to explore renewable energy opportunities and start planning for their land before entering conversations with developers.

This kind of early visibility changes the dynamic. It gives landowners greater confidence, supports more informed decision-making, and helps create more balanced and constructive engagement from the outset.

As Chris Faris, COO of ARENA, said at the launch, 'it’s a great tool for landowners and developers to be able to sit down together when those decisions are being made, and benefits can flow to landowners and onto regional communities.’

This is what meaningful progress can look like. Not just new projects, but empowering people with the tools and information to actively shape the future of their land and their communities.

RELA’s self-service platform is now live: https://brnw.ch/21x2g8m

If you work with landholders, community engagement or renewable project development, this is one to watch.

‘Hey CERI, how can I access the need-to-know in consumer energy resource integrations?’

A new ARENA-backed tool, the CER Integration (CERI) Knowledge Base, is making Consumer Energy Resource integration easier to navigate, helping the sector move faster with more shared understanding.

The CER Integration (CERI) Knowledge Base is designed to help you quickly understand the big picture of CER in Australia.

Use it to find explanations of market concepts, inform customer-first product design, or spot regulatory and technical considerations sooner.

Home charging shapes whether many people switch to an electric vehicle. One in six Australians reside in strata properties, so it’s vital to unlock this for apartment residents.

Last week we joined NOX Energy in Victoria to mark a major milestone: the completion of the largest retrofit of an apartment building with EV charging in Australia, with over 250 charging points on site.

This site in Hawthorn will test and refine the technology, and eventually the project will include 2,000 chargers across 16 sites nationally.

The ARENA-backed project is building a lower‑cost path to home EV charging for people who live in apartments, supporting EV adoption and lowering emissions on our roads.

We’re proud to support innovative projects like this that help ensure the energy transition can be benefit everyone.
