Keep up the good Ken Behrens! If you havenโ€™t gotten vaccinated yet there are still plenty of bookings available.

Today we reached >99% of Canberrans aged 12 years and over who have received 1 dose of a COVID-19 vaccine ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ช

And 76% of Canberrans aged 12 years and over have now received 2 doses of a COVID-19 vaccine ๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿ’‰

What an achievement for us as we transition out of the ACT lockdown ๐Ÿ†

Many of you have asked what population data we use to calculate our vaccination rates. We use the March 2021 Estimated Resident Population (ERP) provided by our friends at the Australian Bureau of Statistics. This means we are using the latest data since the start of the vaccination rollout to track our rates โ€“ noting population data is always an estimate ๐Ÿ“ˆ

Some of you have also asked whether we are tallying figures of people weโ€™ve administered COVID-19 vaccines in the ACT, but may live elsewhere. The answer is โ€“ we only count the numbers for ACT residents (not that it has stopped us from helping vaccinate residents from other jurisdictions) ๐Ÿค“

We hope this settles the debate and confirms that Canberra really is one of the most vaccinated (and greatest) cities in the world ๐ŸŒ

Please note today will be the final day we report Canberrans receiving a first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. From tomorrow we will only be publishing the vaccination rate for double doses for Canberrans aged 12 years and over.

Today, we honour and remember those families and loved ones of service men and women who have lost their lives. And thank all who have served, and those that serve still. Lest we forget.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

We will remember them.

Happy IWD to all the young women fighting for change and to make the world safer for women in their workplaces, their high schools, on the streets and on their university campuses.

Today is a moment to reflect on how far we have come and to celebrate the women who have fought before us, and to recognise how far we still need to go.

The fight is not over. โœŠ๐Ÿผโœจ

Wishing Queensland Young Labor
the best of luck for the QLD Election today!

Hereโ€™s to sticking with Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, a great Labor Woman, and phenomenal Labor Leader!

Today is the final day to cast your vote in Queensland - and polls have officially opened.

Itโ€™s the last chance we have to re-elect a Palaszczuk Labor Government.

Itโ€™s the last chance we have to stop Deb Frecklington and the LNP from cutting the guts out of Queensland.

If you havenโ€™t voted, donโ€™t forget โ€“ thereโ€™s never been a more important election in this state.

Thank you Kristy McBain ๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’ž

ACT Young Labor has been kept busy this year helping out our wonderful ACT Labor candidates across the 5 electorates.

We wish them all the very best of luck for tomorrow!

Good luck to my friends in ACT Labor and ACT Young Labor - your work in government sets you up for victory tomorrow.

The Eden-Monaro donut wraps around the ACT, the communities we live in and serve are close and have a shared future. I look forward to working with a government led by Andrew Barr ACT Chief Minister.

The Coalition Government has once again proven its disregard for young people and students.

In the middle of a recession, the Federal Government has made education less accessible, less equitable and more expensive for thousands of prospective students, saddling them with even higher tertiary education debts.

Thanks a lot Centre Alliance ๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก๐Ÿ˜ก

Centre Alliance MP Rebekha Sharkie confirmed the minor party would hand the government the crucial support it needed to pass the reforms through the Senate.

Happy Labour Day! Shout out to all the young workers, working this long weekend. You deserve penalty rates.

Happy Labour Day!

Shout out to all the young workers, working this long weekend. You deserve penalty rates.

Eight hours work. Eight hours recreation. Eight hours rest.

Rights for working people didn't come easily here. They were hard fought and hard won โ€“ and they must always be defended.

Happy Labour Day, everyone.

And a shout out to everyone working this long weekend. You deserve your penalty rates, even if this Government wants to take them away.
