This week in Art saw our 4-6s finishing their sewing so that they join the whole-school printmaking efforts. Today, both 2/3 classes created and tested their foam relief prints, doing a wonderful job 😀

OSHC Adventures Spring Holiday Program🌸

What can you see? Both Grade 2/3 classes finished off Art for the term with “op art” pieces. Two similar paintings, spliced up and woven back together to create an optical illusion effect. They were very patient with themselves - weaving two paintings isn’t easy! - and the results are up in the office for everyone to enjoy ☺️

Our Grade 6 have completed another year of the Passions and Pathways program. Students have opportunities to learn about different careers and pathways to them. We have engaged with local businesses, visited Latrobe Bendigo and Bendigo TAFE, learnt about our interests and skills and how they might translate to our futures, as well as creating a project with a business.

On Friday, students travelled to Bendigo Library to present their project and learnings. CCPS inc GC project and display was well-received and our nominated speakers did a great job answering questions in front of the crowd.
Awesome work Grade 6.

As part of our NAIDOC Week celebrations, we welcomed Uncle Ron to our school on Friday, 24 July. Uncle Ron shared the Platypus Teaching, along with cultural music and dance, providing our students with a wonderful opportunity to learn about and celebrate Aboriginal culture.

Be sure to stop by the office to admire our amazing NAIDOC collage, created by our talented students. We are proud to celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures, and achievements as a school community.
