While our students completed their dictation work today, we couldn't help but compare it with this incredible dictation sample from 18 June 1888 — 138 years ago!

How amazing is it that we have access to original student work from so long ago? It offers a unique glimpse into school life, learning, and handwriting from a completely different era. The similarities and differences between then and now make for a wonderful reminder that learning has always been at the heart of our school community.

We feel incredibly fortunate to be custodians of such rich history. 💛💙📖

Today Paige, Addi and Claudia represented our school at Sorry Day at the Botanical Gardens.
The theme was ‘All In’ and a strong call to action and focussing on what local schools are doing.
Well done Paige and Addi being so brave. 🌸

The 3D creations continue, with Grades 4/5A and B finished their vehicles and 6E their marine creatures. We discussed what qualifies as a vehicle and a marine creature, resulting in fabulous interpretations including Star Wars ships, submarines, a character from SpongeBob and more. On display in the office hallway and in the Art room.

Every class has spent the last few weeks exploring form (3D) in Art. Today, fabulous mixed media egg carton faces by the 2/3s appeared on the wall in the office. The foyer also features a display of adorably tiny clay fruit and vegetables by the 1/2 students. 🍓🍒🍎🥔🥕

Today 16th May is Education Support (ES) Day.
On Monday 18th May we will celebrate the incredible people who keep our school running.
