🌟What a special morning at our CSS Prep Father’s Day BBQ Breakfast!
Our amazing dads ( and special people in our lives) were the honour - and they were put to the test! From showing off their colouring-in skills to mastering the coyote throw, folding the perfect paper plane, and tackling plenty of fun challenges along the way.
Thanks to everyone who helped make the morning memorable and for sharing a yummy breakfast with us ❤️

Edge, our Caloundra SHS Dance Company, is proud to present a free commercial jazz workshop for students in Years 5 and 6 with one of our dance teachers, Billy Barber. Billy brings years of professional dance experience to our Edge program and we are excited for him to be able to share some of this experience in this workshop opportunity. The workshop will be run before school in our P Block Dance studio on the 17th of September (Thursday Week 10) from 7:30am to 8:15am. Students can register via the QR code on the attached flyer to attend.

☀️☀️Sunshine + sandpit + bark = the perfect math lesson!
Today, Class 2B took their learning outside to explore capacity in the most hands-on way possible!
Using the sandpit and the bark underneath the playground, the children:
* Filled, poured, and compared different containers
* Estimated and tested how much each could hold
* Used maths language like full, empty, more than, less than, and about the same
* Chose the most appropriate/efficient measuring tool for each container
* Worked together to solve little “capacity challenges”
It was wonderful to see them putting their classroom knowledge to the test in real, playful context – and having so much fun while doing it!

On parade students also received many various CAL 100 medals and certificates. These students have been dedicated to the weekly early starts and have clocked up a healthy 25km, 50km , 75km medals!

At P-2 Parade today we continued to congratulate many students who are kicking goals and achieving greatness! Well done to our super students, ice-block voucher winners and of course our silver and gold award winners 🌟🌟Well Done everyone!!

This morning, Senior Band members tried their hand at busking for students, parents and teachers, receiving stickers for their efforts.

The performers all did a fantastic job of playing with their groups without a conductor and keeping the music flowing despite the distractions!

Well done to all these awesome young performers! 👏🤩

💛 Teacher Aide Appreciation Week 💛

This week we’re celebrating the incredible Teacher Aides who make such a difference every single day at CSS.

Thank you for your patience, kindness, support and all the little things you do to help our students learn, grow and thrive. Your hard work often happens behind the scenes, but it certainly doesn’t go unnoticed.

As Book Week comes to an end at CSS we wanted to thank our families and friends for your support - the purchasing of books, trinkets and much more has made the Book Fair a huge success!
(Some parents and grandparents were dragged into the hall everyday by their children 🤣)
Thanks to Mr O’Sullivan and Mrs Duckett for putting this event together. For running lunchtime activities such as make your own bookmarks, 🔖 guessing competitions, writing competitions , treasure hunts , book exchange and more.
Also to the amazing TA’s for your creativity in decorating the library and making the reminders around the school . Well done!
