Free Parenting Program in Gladstone Region ✨Circle of Security ✨ Now open for Term 2 registrations.

Next month (in Term 2) we will welcome a group of parents and caregivers to our parenting program in Calliope. This program is open to everyone in the Gladstone region and there is no cost to attend.

If you’ve never attended a program before, here’s what you can expect…

Circle of Security is a supportive, relationship-based parenting program that helps parents better understand their child’s emotional needs and behaviours. Throughout the sessions, we explore practical ways to strengthen the connection between you and your child, helping them feel safe, understood and supported as they grow.

Parents and caregivers who attend often gain:
💛 A deeper understanding of their child’s feelings and behaviour
💛 Practical tools to support emotional development
💛 Confidence in responding to challenging moments
💛 Strategies to build stronger, more secure relationships

The program is welcoming, supportive and designed for parents and caregivers of children of all ages.

First5Forever Fun Day - Calliope

This week!

Spend the morning bouncing around with Hive Inflatable. That’s right, we are bringing the inflatables back for another bounce-tastic morning!

Play with friends and take a breath while enjoying craft in the library. This event is aimed at families with children aged 0-5, older siblings are welcome.

First5Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government and Gladstone Neighbourhood Centre.

THE POWER OF COMMUNITY! 🫶🏼🌈

Our hearts (and our trailers) are full! Despite the rain today, our Emergency Working Bee was a monumental success. To the 20+ volunteers and the handful of enthusiastic "junior helpers" who showed up, thank you! You have truly saved our play space!

In just four hours, this incredible crew managed to:
✅ Clear leaf litter from the yard and shade sails
✅ Top up TWO sandpits (the kids are going to love this!)
✅ Clear gutters on all buildings and sheds
✅ Mow and whipper-snip every corner
✅ Level the grounds to fix drainage
✅ Remove a mountain of green and general waste
✅ Safely remove old equipment (we said a sad but necessary goodbye to our much-loved boat! ⛵️😭)
