🎶 Three Bentley Park College Instrumental Music students attended SHEP Cairns this year, run by the Queensland Conservatorium of Music. Well done to Ella on clarinet, Luca on trumpet and Harlen on baritone sax!

The musicians had a great time meeting band students from across Cairns, working on their musical literacy, technique and performance skills over three days of rehearsals and a concert.

⚽Our Football Academy students had great success at the annual FNQ Futsal Titles at Redlynch Sports Centre in Week 5. The Boys under 18 team secured the championship in a thrilling grand final that was decided in the final seconds of the match; and our Girls under 14 team and Boys under 13 team both showcased impressive skills and determination to make the semifinals.

We thank you Redlynch Sports Centre and our opponents for an exciting week of Futsal, and congratulate the Bentley Park College teams on performing at their best.

🏉 The Year 8 Rugby League Team won the FNQ 9s Competition in Week 5, securing the title for the second consecutive year!

The team was undefeated throughout the day, winning every game by four or more tries. They continued their dominant performance in the final, defeating Good Counsel 6–1 to claim the trophy.

Congratulations to all players on an outstanding achievement. The Players of the Tournament were Edmund, Dudley and Isaac.

🏐 Girls in Sport Academy: Fowler's Cup Netball
Congratulations to our Year 7 Fowler’s Cup Champions! The girls all played well against some difficult teams throughout the day, and ended up taking home the win. Well done Larissa, Amity, Lovenia, Runa, Lily, Eliza-Jane, Deborah, Mari, Zaretta, Angel and Jenaye!

🔬 Our new Secondary Science Club has been running since Term 2, with the 12 Year 11 members being issued with UQ Ambassador badges at parade recently. The club is run by Science teacher Mr Johnson and consists of the students from Years 7 to 11.

The Science Club meets each Friday during first lunch, and were recently involved in running activities for Science Week. More Science Week photos to come!

What a Knight! It’s our final performance tonight, starting at 7.00pm in the Bentley Park College Theatre!!
Tickets are available today until 3.45pm at the Primary Administration Office, or at the door tonight unless sold out. Adult tickets are $10, children are $5, and a family ticket is $25 for two adults and two children.
Light refreshments will be on sale courtesy of our P&C Instrumental Music Support Group.

📜More pics from History Week, which was celebrated in Secondary last term, organised by our Humanities Department in conjunction with the Queensland History Teachers' Association.

The week was crowned on Friday with an historical free dress day, with Secondary staff and students dressing up as historical figures that inspire them! During first lunch, there was a fashion parade in the Mall for those keen to show off their historical threads, and time-travel through historical games on the Year 8 lawn.

📜History Week was celebrated in Secondary last term, organised by our Humanities Department in conjunction with the Queensland History Teachers' Association. There was a 'This Day in History' and trivia challenges each day, and on Thursday students could take Virtual Reality world tours of the ancient world into the 20th century and enjoy art activities in CE Block.

🎵 ⭐ 👑What a Knight! Our Primary musical students are almost ready to take to the stage for 'Opening Knight' in the College Theatre!

The show will also be performed 'Thursday Knight' and 'Closing Knight' on Friday 11 September 😀

Performances start at 7.00pm and you can buy tickets at the door, until sold out!

You can also buy your tickets at the Primary Administration Office. Adult tickets are $10, children are $5, and a family ticket is $25 for two adults and two children. Office hours are 8.00am to 3.15pm Thursday, and 8.00am to 4.45pm Friday.
