Weds 08 July 26
Today the Regt conducted the SIG Sean McCarthy WOD (Workout of the Day) to honour and remember the life, service and sacrifice of SIG Sean McCarthy.
Sean was tragically killed whilst serving overseas with the Special Operations Task Group when the vehicle he was travelling in was struck by an improvised explosive device.
We will remember them.

Ex ATLAS RUN 26
15-19 Jun 26
Members of 7 Sig Regt OS SQN conducted an introductory Urban Operations package to expose members to a close quarter urban operating environment.
The training was designed to test teams outside their normal service support roles and build adaptability in complex a terrain.
Members progressed through foundational drills in a crawl–walk–run framework to build confidence and competence.
Training evolved into structured scenarios tailored to individual trades, reinforcing role-specific skills in an urban setting.
The package emphasised operating in complex, constrained environments requiring coordination and clear communication.
All members responded positively to the opportunity to train in a new and challenging environment.
All members valued the exposure to something different from combat service support training.
Overall, the package successfully enhanced adaptability, teamwork, and confidence across OS SQN.
Well done to all.

EX STOIC ATLAS 2026

Over the period 07 – 17 Apr 26 OSS conducted Ex STOIC ATLAS which saw members of the Regiment from all ranks PTE to MAJ and across RAAOC, RAEME, RACT, and RASIGS.
The exercise was conducted along the Great Ocean Walk and covered more than 104 km of challenging terrain with significant elevation gain, testing participants’ physical endurance and mental resilience. Rapid and unpredictable changes in weather and temperature further increased the difficulty. The exercise demanded sustained teamwork, adaptability, and determination, reinforcing core soldiering skills in a complex and austere environment to develop resilience, navigation and time management skills.
Well done to all.

Sun 29 Mar 26 -
Members of the Regiment took part in Run Army 2026 on a beautiful morning through the streets of Brisbane. A great opportunity to meet up with past and present Army members (if you can spot them in the crowd!!). The event promotes health and wellbeing, while raising vital funds for charities that support our veterans, first responders and their families. Combining with Queensland Police, Fire, Ambulance and State Emergency services, Surf Life Saving Queensland and the Indigenous Marathon Foundation to celebrate those who serve the community in times of need.
Well done to all.

Saturday 14 Mar 26
7 Sig Regt opened Borneo Barracks for all serving member’s families to celebrate the Army 125th Birthday.
Lots of kids activities; Bouncy Castle, face painting, kids Obstacle course and a petting zoo. The cutting of the birthday cake followed a central BBQ. Overall everyone appeared to enjoy the day. Our thanks to DMFS and Legacy for their support and thank you to all who attended and to all organisers and duty personnel on the day. Well done to all.
