Saturday evening saw our members, their families and Club supporters gather together to celebrate the end of another incredible season, and to recognise special contributions made by our amazing volunteers throughout the year. The Club Presentation Night for 2025/26 was fun, (funny!), friendly, and a fantastic opportunity to spotlight our successes - and to share some great stories.

We also had the honour of presenting the prestigious National Medal to a number of our most generous volunteers.

Thank you to everyone who attended (both villains and heroes😉), who cheered for each other, danced the night away, and helped make the night such a success. We are incredibly proud of our members and all that has been achieved this season.

SLSNSW has generously provided all surf life saving clubs with a Shark Bite Trauma Kit.

At Cabarita Beach SLSC, our kit has now been mounted next to the AED cabinet near the gear sheds (pictured).

Like the AED, this kit is available for community use in an emergency and is designed to support immediate life-saving first aid in the event of a shark bite or severe bleeding incident.

The kit contains emergency trauma supplies including tourniquets and compression bandages to help control major bleeding while waiting for emergency services to arrive.

We hope it never needs to be used, but having it accessible could make a critical difference when every second counts.

Our surf rescue vehicles work hard in the salt and sand, and need to be replaced regularly to keep our beaches safe. We are so grateful for the assistance of SLS Foundation and Surf Life Saving NSW, and especially to our generous grant donors the Merchant Foundation, for helping us to acquire our new all-terrain Can-Am this week. The vehicle will assist us in getting lifesavers, rescue gear and first aid equipment to where it's needed - as quickly as possible.
All of the Surf Club's vehicles, lifesaving gear and first aid equipment is funded by the grants we secure and the funds we raise ... all of which is undertaken by volunteer members from the local community. All support is very much appreciated and your participation is very warmly welcomed 🙏
