💐New club alert! HeART Warmers Club is a Winter art club and safe hang out place for teens in Burra starting in June! 💐

This program came about because of a request from a Burra Community School student. If you’re a young person with an idea you want to make happen, reach out to our community team. We love collaborating with young people to make good things happen.

Today during National Volunteers Week, artist Jill Foster volunteered to guide us through making clay plant labels and has kindly offered to fire them for us. Great session. Thank you Jill!

It is National Volunteers Week, May 18-24. The Burra Community Library would like to thank and acknowledge our 2026 wonderful volunteers. Marie Broad has been generous in giving her time and skills, volunteering and supporting the library community for several years. Guiding our crafters and inspiring new ideas for community activities. Leslie Phillips who has quietly and humbly knitted well over 1000 trauma teddies for our hospital, WCH, ambulance, RFDS and more- amazing! Patrice McInnes who capably guided our Mosaics sessions. Dr. Barbara Piscitelli for her experience and insight collaborating on a local history project. Lysha Brinsley and Anthea Wright who host a monthly Burra Boardgame Group , guiding and encouraging collaborative fun and learning. Also donating games to the library. Thanks to all. You're very appreciated. ❤️
