The Deep Creek fire that started last Sunday has now been declared contained, following a significant multiโ€‘agency effort by firefighters from across SA and interstate.
The fire burned in steep, inaccessible terrain under challenging conditions. Burnside members made seven responses, deploying our 34P rural appliance, command vehicle, and undertaking Incident Management Team roles.
Thanks to the many agencies including MFS, National Parks, SAPOL and SES who supported the response.
Our thoughts are with all those affected by the fire.

Burnside members are standing by in readiness for tomorrowโ€™s hot weather โ˜€๏ธ.

With the mercury set to climb to 42 degrees and a Total Fire Ban (TFB) in place for the Mount Lofty Ranges, stay up to date with warnings via the CFS website.

Burnside 34P and crew were with Casey Treloar and 7NEWS Adelaide at Mount Osmond earlier tonight. Watch Caseyโ€™s live cross via the link below:

๐Ÿ”ฅTotal Fire Bans have been declared in parts of the state for Monday 29 Dec 2025 including the Mount Lofty Ranges๐Ÿ”ฅ

๐—ง๐—ผ๐˜๐—ฎ๐—น ๐—™๐—ถ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—•๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€ have been declared for Monday 29 December 2025 in the following Fire Ban Districts:

Where Total Fire Bans have been declared, very hazardous fire weather conditions are predicted.

The Total Fire Ban will apply for 24 hours from midnight tonight to midnight tomorrow.

The CFS recommends that you implement your Bushfire Survival Plan.

Where fire ban districts have a forecast fire danger rating of Extreme, only well prepared, well constructed and actively defended houses are likely to offer safety during a fire.

If you don't have a plan to ensure your survival, leaving early before a fire starts is your safest option.
In making your plan, you should be aware that in high fire danger conditions, essential services including mains-fed electricity and water supply may not be available due to the prevailing weather conditions.
Landowners are asked to adhere to local harvest codes of practice which are available from your local council.
Landowners are also asked to ensure that any burn-off activities conducted today are fully extinguished before midnight tonight.
Agencies are advised to activate their Total Fire Ban procedures in preparation for these predicted fire weather conditions
