Along with many other local brigades we attended a truck handover and medal ceremony at Winfield this morning. New trucks were delivered to Bungadoo, Moore Park, Boolbunda and Winfield. Around 40 medals were handed out to deserving volunteers . Among these were our own members Carey and Jenny Mitchell. A big thankyou to 2nd Officer Dan Somerfield for coming to support our members and also for the photos.

Congratulations Luke we are proud to have you as a member of our Local Rural Fire Brigade

Congratulations Luke we are proud to have you as a member of our Local Rural Fire Brigade

🎉 Congratulations to Mr Luke Harding OAM! 🎉
We are incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of our very own Luke Harding from the Bundaberg Regional SES Unit, who has been awarded the prestigious Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for his outstanding service to the community through a range of organisations.
Luke’s recognition is well-deserved, and we are honoured to have him as part of our team.
The award was presented by the Governor during an Investiture Ceremony at Government House, where 19 remarkable Queenslanders were recognised for their contributions to military service, leadership, veterans, communities, sport, faith, and even heroic actions during a flood rescue.
👏 Please join us in congratulating Luke on this incredible achievement!

Another couple of years have rolled by and we held our voting AGM last night. It would have been great to see more of our members attend but for those who made the effort we had a positive meeting and we thanked them for their efforts over the past year. We thank Tracy for coming out from Area Office to chair our meeting for us whilst the voting took place. She is such a positive addition to our monthly meetings as well. The results of last night's vote were as follows:

First Officer : Carey Mitchell
Secretary/Treasurer: Jenny Mitchell
Second Officer: Dan Somerfield
Third Officer: Simon Prosser
Fourth Officer: Jeremy Nyberg
Training Officer: Dan Somerfield
Equipment Officer: Carey Mitchell
First Aid Officer: Dan Somerfield

Congratulations to all.
