Getting ready for severe weather takes less time than ordering your morning coffee.

Storms, floods, bushfires and cyclones can hit the Gold Coast with little to no warning. It's not a question of if, but when. β›ˆοΈπŸ’§πŸ”₯

Ever wondered what's inside the building that runs our city during a disaster?

On Saturday 10 October, you can step inside the Gold Coast Disaster and Emergency Management Centre, where our teams coordinate the response when storms, floods and cyclones hit.

It's one of 17 places opening their doors for Gold Coast Open House, a free city-wide weekend celebrating architecture and design.

You can also explore heritage gems, architect-designed homes and major infrastructure which isn't normally open to the public.

Love life on the water? We’re making it easier to get out and enjoy it. 🚀

Our city is a boating paradise, with more than 260km of navigable waterways to explore.

Recent upgrades at the Ray Street Boat Ramp have provided additional boat and trailer parking, making it easier to find a park and get out on the water, even during busy periods. β˜€οΈ
