Bunbury Bel Canto Singers are Hosting an afternoon tea Fundraiser at Hudson Road Family Centre at 1.30 pm in the main hall. Thursday 25th of June .

We are raising funds to go to the Kalgoorlie Desert Heart Song Festival
August 21st 23rd 2026.

Entry is $10

This is one sound you definitely can't ignore! 😲📱

Your phone will vibrate, play a loud siren-like sound and light up with the alert.

Goomalling will be the first location in WA to test AusAlert on 19 June at 12pm, followed by a National Test across Australia on 27 July.

So there's no confusion, this alert is not sent through the Emergency WA app or any other emergency app. AusAlert is a new federal government initiative that forms part of Australia's nationally operated emergency alert system, designed to deliver warnings during serious emergencies.

If the trials are successful, states and territories can opt in to using AusAlert from October, depending on local requirements.

We had the best morning at our multicultural playgroup with our special visitor, Denise from Investing in Our Youth.

Denise spoke with us about the importance of reading from an early age and shared information about the wonderful services and support available to families.

We then enjoyed a fantastic reading of Dear Zoo, which captured the attention of all our little friends. Everyone sat down ready to listen as Denise brought the story to life with boxes with our stuffed animals inside for the children to explore. The interactive experience kept everyone engaged and excited as we talked about each animal and joined in with the story.

We kept the conversation going throughout our morning as the children explored feeding our zoo animals, developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and imagination through play. They also enjoyed loved our zoo jungle tuff tray, where they could create their own animal adventures, engage in sensory exploration, and extend their learning from the story.

Thank you, Denise, for spending the morning with us and helping to foster a love of books, reading, and learning in our young children.
