Hi everyone, the FDR was revised this morning, conditions have changed and we are now outside of the HIGH number so burning is allowed today with a permit, please ensure you read and understand your permit conditions before lighting. Thank you.

Same again for Wednesday 27th May unfortunately, no burning please, we had people burning again today, read your permits, you must check the FDR is below HIGH before burning, its on the permits. Not knowing is not an excuse, large fines apply if you are caught by the City. Tomorrow's high is due to the winds which will be bringing in the rain but not until later in the day.

We have HIGH FDR tomorrow, all permits are suspended, no burning during this period, should be ok on Tuesday to resume permit burning and single 1x1 piles after 6.00pm.

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are high FDR, that means all permits will be suspended, anyone that has had a burn in recent days should check for any sign of heat and apply water to ensure they do not re ignite.

Today we took delivery of our 2 new Light Tankers, these replaced our oldest vehicles in our fleet. DFES supply the brigade with all equipment and having these 2 new replacements will only enhance our capabilities and response to the community, big thank you to DFES for sending out our presents today.

A big day for a number of members today, attended the Bullsbrook RSL Dawn Service, then completed a burn up in the Hills. Back in tomorrow for training.

The brigade will be conducting a burn off in Linzar Place this afternoon, there will be some smoke given off.

The brigade is currently conducting a pile burn for a property owner near Ashmere drive.

If anyone would like us to conduct a burn off for you, please make contact, we have a team of members dedicated to hazard reduction burning, (HRB), they will come to your property check what is feasible, write a prescription that has to be ratified by DFES, then if all passes through we can perform the burn. Given we live and operate in the City of Swan, we are bound by their requirements and times/dates we are allowed to burn, currently we cannot have running fire burns however that should change soon, the best thing is to get everything in place now so there a no delays, before long the rains will come and we will not be able to burn, it is always a short window to get these done, if you want assistance please DM this post.
