๐Ÿพ Responsible Dog Ownership Starts With All of Us ๐Ÿพ

Our town is at its best when we all do our part to keep Bruce Rock clean, safe and welcoming for everyone.

Recently, the Shire has seen an increase in dog waste being left in public areas, along with more dogs escaping from properties and being impounded. A few simple actions can make a big difference:

โœ… Pick up after your dog and dispose of waste appropriately.
โœ… Check fences and gates regularly to keep your dog secure.
โœ… Keep your dog on a lead and under control when in public spaces.

Being a responsible dog owner helps protect our community, our shared spaces, and the wellbeing of both residents and pets.

Together, we can keep Bruce Rock a great place to live, work and visit. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ’š

**National Reconciliation Week 2026**
This yearโ€™s theme for National Reconciliation Week 2026 is All In, a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. All In makes clear that reconciliation is not a spectator sport, and that all of us must step away from the sidelines and take action to make change.
The theme also reminds us that reconciliation and advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoplesโ€™ rights isnโ€™t a passive activity, and it is not solely the responsibility of First Nations people, who have carried the weight of championing, explaining and acting for far too long.
Reconciliation Australia turns 25 this year, and our 25th anniversary presents a renewed invitation to lift our actions and commitment for major change. The work that remains to be done requires all of us to do our part. All In is not about guilt or shame, but about the reciprocal responsibility of being Australian. Reconciliation will not happen by itself, we must be all in for reconciliation.
The Shire of Bruce Rock acknowledges the Traditional Owners of Country throughout Australia and recognises the continuing connection to lands, waters and communities. We pay our respect to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures; and to Elders past and present.

This project is about creating a welcoming space for children, families, young people, locals and visitors โ€” a place to play, gather, connect and spend time in the heart of Bruce Rock.
