Brookfield State School 150 years Celebration

Brookfield State School 150 years Celebration In 2021 Brookfield State School celebrates their Sesquicentennial Anniversary.

This page will allow past and present students, staff and community members to share ideas, photos and events. The purpose of the 150th Anniversary is to celebrate the 150 years this school has provided education in the local community and to showcase the current work of the school. We are aiming to reconnect with past students and their families, connect the school’s history with existing student

s and their families and share our present-day school with past and future students and their families.

Gold Fossicking was one of the popular activities at Back to Brookfield. Students are still finding ‘gold nuggets” in the sandpit! Our very friendly helper, Zach, weighed the found gold before the "prospectors" got to take it home.
The world’s largest nugget, “The Welcome Stranger”, was found near Bendigo in 1869. It weighed 72kg! Our Brookfield gold nugget was not quite as big.

Thank you to the local churches who gave out free fairy floss to all the children. It was delicious!
