🎉 100 YEARS OF SOUTH BROKEN HILL FIRE STATION 🚒

This month marks an incredible milestone for Station 239 South Broken Hill, with our station celebrating 100 years since opening its doors in August 1926.

For a century, generations of firefighters have proudly served the South Broken Hill community from this station, building a history and legacy that we’re incredibly proud to continue today.

In August 1926, the brigade moved into their brand new fire station which is still in operation today!

Our team at the Museum of Fire are currently researching into the history of the brigade for their centenary celebrations later in the year - do you have any interesting stories from South Broken Hill?

Last night, Retained Firefighter crews from Station 239 South and Station 238 Town undertook a Five-Person Gas Cylinder Attack Drill under the guidance of Senior Instructor Hatch.

Regular drill nights are essential for our Retained Crews, ensuring they remain highly prepared, skilled, and ready to respond to any incident they may encounter in the line of duty.
