Marg was a fabulous story teller and one who bought humour to every tale. Marg was a kind soul who was very much loved and respected in the Village. Vale Marg, may you rest in peace 🥀

FUNERAL NOTICE

LYNCH, Margaret Mary

Passed away gently and peacefully on Friday, 14th August 2026 with loving family by her side.
Aged 78 years.

Much Loved Mother and Mother-in-Law to Tracey & Dean, Brendon & Del, Hayden & Jacqui, and Jud.
Adored Grandma Marg to all her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Loved Daughter of Eileen & Mick Lynch (both dec’d).
Treasured Sister to Michael (dec’d), Patrick (dec’d), John, Christopher and their families.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Requiem Mass celebrating Margaret’s life at:

Saints Peter and Paul's Catholic Church
Murton Street, Broken Hill
Monday, 24th August 2026 at 1:30pm

Following the service a Private Cremation will take place.

Transgrid is set to carry out maintenance and upgrade works at its Buronga substation.

Key points:
👉Specialist crews are replacing and upgrading high-voltage substation equipment at Buronga

👉Dates / Time: 8am until 11pm on Monday, June 29

👉Work will be undertaken in two phases with initial priority works to be completed on Monday and further upgrades undertaken in late August

👉The two generators are now fully refurbished

👉Transgrid is working with Essential Energy and Perilya in the delivery of the works

As one door closes,another door opens. After 9 wonderful years with Eureka Group Holdings, We are excited to begin a new chapter and look forward to continuing as Village Manager in a smaller role.
I also look forward to working with Zeta and First National Real Estate as we continue to support and grow our Village Community.
It’s has been privilege to be part of such a caring community,and we are grateful for the friendships, memories,and experiences we have gained over the years.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of our Journey.

We were very saddened to hear of Shirley Eckert’s passing. Shirley was a past resident of Shorty O’Neill Village and will be remembered fondly by many and our thoughts are with the family and friends during this difficult time.
