Hazara Community- Resilience, Positivity and Prosperity

Humbled and overwhelmed with the amount of affection and love which I am receiving from this amazing community- Hazara.

These wonderful people have sailed across many seas to come to this beautiful Island Australia, some 20 years ago. Initially they chose to settle in prospect, Kilburn and Blair Athol area- where not many people were keen to settle. But with honesty and skills they not only thrived but nurtured this locality to the point that now these suburbs are one of the fastest growing and highly priced areas. The beautiful smiles and welcoming gestures don’t show how much hard work and sacrifices they are making to build this neighbourhood.

During my campaign, I strongly believe that they are not being properly represented and voiced in City Council. I am committed to be their voice and be vocal for their requirements and expectations from council.

Thanks all those shop owners and businesspeople to allow my campaign material to be displayed at your premises. I owe you!!

*Businesses* are like circulation systems of body, they keep the wealth floating and serving each part of community. Australia is land of opportunity and many hardworking honest migrants have settled, thrived and made this beautiful land even more livable and lovable.
During my campaign, I am getting so much of *positivity* and *energy* from these local entrepreneurs. Representing them in council will be my opportunity to give them back what they deserve.
I am sure, the families, friends and community they serve to will stand by me to make this possible!

Grocery Stores: Most vital support system of any community. They are taking care of basic needs of families and they have done through COVID pandemic. Resilience is what I learn from them.
When I am starting my campaign and reach out to families, my first obvious choice was Grocery Stores.

Dussehra, one of the most adored festivals in Indian Subcontinent, stands for the triumph of good over evil. This also marks the last day of 9 day long Durga Pooja, specially revered in Bengali Community. Had an opportunity to meet beautiful bunch of people from BCASA, Adelaide in Durga Pooja organised by their team.
Mother Durga symbolises most empowered form of womanhood which saves the world from all kinds of evils. She is also the goddess of Arts, Literature, Energy, Wisdom and Wealth which are different facets of same thing- Highest form of Knowledge.
No wonder, why Bengalis are known for their arts and culture including Nobel Laurette Sir Rabindranath Tagore.
