Lady Ramsay Early Learning & Education Centre Lady Ramsay Early Learning & Education Centre available to QLD Health Staff. Lady Ramsay offers high Both Miss Sam & Miss Janine are registered teachers.

Lady Ramsay was opened in 1993 to help the Queensland Health Staff with their childcare needs. Our success is due to our highly dedicated and experienced teachers, some of which have been with the centre since it was originally opened. All our staff are qualified teachers who hold their First Aid including Anaphylaxis and Asthma, Suitability Checks (blue cards), Bachelor/Diploma or Certificate 3.

Lady Ramsay provides an exceptional quality service and educational programs to children from nursery (6wks) to Kindergarten (5yrs). Our qualified early childhood education teachers implement a Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program to assist the children prepare for their journey into school. Miss Sam holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Miss Janine holds a Bachelor of Primary Education with a Diploma in Early Education. Our Teacher Aid Miss Shannon holds a Diploma of Early Education. As part of our 2015 Kindergarten class we are piloting a new Collaborative Learning Class(CLC) to assist the children develop leadership and teamwork skills. Nutritious meals are provided by QLD Health in accordance with the Hospitals Quality and Food Safety Standards. Center operates under ACECQA (Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority) which is overseen on a local level by the OECEC (Office of Early Childhood Education and Care). We are fortunate to have Miss Janine as our Educational Leader who overseas the daily program and staff professional development with the Centre Director. Miss Georgia our qualified Arts and Early Education Teacher facilitates our Art Play Program on a Thursday and Friday. This program has been implemented to assist our young artists with their exploration of new techniques and art experiences. External Programs - French (Play Frog) & Sport (TBA)

X-ray of a grape in a 5 year olds airway - it took surgery to remove it and because the airway was not completely blocked, the child lived. Grapes need to be cut in half for children til they are AT LEAST 5. This happened to a 5 year old. SLICE THE GRAPES, FOLKS
