🚨The Electrical Safety Regulation 2026 has commenced.

The regulation has been remade following the expiry of the previous regulation, with no changes to the existing regulatory requirements.

While there are no changes to the policy intent or regulatory requirements, it’s still a good opportunity to familiarise yourself with the remade Electrical Safety Regulation.

Electrical Safety Fortnight got off to an early start today at Toowoomba East State School, highlighting the strong partnership between the Electrical Safety Office, Energy Queensland, Ergon Energy Network and Energex in promoting electrical safety across Queensland communities.

The event also marked the launch of the Ergon-Energex Safety Heroes program, helping young Queenslanders learn how to stay safe around electricity. The ESO delivered important electrical safety messages to students and staff and showcased the Electrical Safety Trailer, providing hands-on safety education.
