Looking for something creative to do these school holidays? 🎨

Young people with mild to profound intellectual disability, together with their support person, are invited to join these free, joyful and highly accessible non-verbal drama sessions, where there’s no right or wrong way to participate.

Led by Queensland’s In-Person Creative team, alongside special guest Richard Hayhow BEM, Director of the world-leading Open Theatre Company (UK), the sessions use music, movement, sensory exploration and imaginative play so everyone can take part.

🫧🥁 North Queensland is shining with creativity and culture this September and October, with the return of Pop-Up North Queensland (PUNQ) and the North Australian Festival of Arts (NAFA).

Produced by Umbrella Studio Contemporary Arts, PUNQ is a biennial contemporary art festival presented across Townsville, Magnetic Island, Hinchinbrook and Charters Towers, showcasing diverse Queensland artists and storytellers.

From 25 September, NAFA will bring music, theatre, comedy, cabaret and visual arts to venues and public spaces across Townsville, with highlights including Dancenorth, Jill Chism, Blast Lab and Macy Gray.

Applications are now open for Round 3 of the Touring Queensland Fund!

This fund supports the presentation and touring of high-quality arts and cultural experiences, including music gigs across Queensland communities.

Funding available includes:

✨ Up to $100k for a single tour or program of tours up to 12 months. Funding covers up to 50% of total project costs.

✨ Up to $10k extra to support access costs.

An exciting public art opportunity is now open as part of the QEII Jubilee Hospital Expansion in Brisbane’s south.

Artists and collectives with a connection to the QEII region are invited to register their interest to create artworks for the new clinical services building and multi-level car park.

Selected works may be featured across a range of public and clinical spaces, including entrances, waiting areas, meeting rooms, family lounges, staff stations, hallways, corridors, window glazing and internal car park areas.

Are you an artist, arts group or small-to-medium arts organisation looking to raise funds for your creative work? It’s time to meet your match!

Creative Australia’s matched funding pathways are open now, helping artists and organisations raise private income and strengthen their fundraising capability.

The program includes three streams tailored to different stages of fundraising development:

✨ Two-year beginner: up to $25k per year for small to medium organisations in the early stages of raising private income.

✨ One-year intermediate: up to $10k for artists and artist groups building more strategic fundraising approaches, and;

✨ Two-year advanced: up to $50k per year for small to medium organisations with established fundraising programs ready to grow.

💃 Regional Queensland dance artists and dance industry workers can 'make a move' to learn and lead by applying to be part of the Emerging Dance Exchange.

Delivered by the Regional Arts Services Network - RASN in collaboration with Ausdance Queensland, this free artist development program supports sustainable careers in dance through professional development, practical learning, sector exchange, resources and tailored mentoring.
