🥤 6D has been researching the effects of healthy drinks during their health lessons this term.
🥤 Many students were astounded to see the amount of sugar everyday drinks include, which prompted some interesting discussions and resolutions.

NATIONAL RECONCILIATION WEEK
⭐️ Today we recognised National Reconciliation Week at our whole school assembly.
⭐️ The theme this year was ‘All In For Reconciliation’.
⭐️ Each class decorated a ‘letter’ using their thumb prints.
⭐️ Our thumb prints show our commitment to reconciliation - learning, listening and connecting with each other.
⭐️ At our assembly we connected the letters together to say, ‘All In For Reconciliation At ACSS’.
⭐️ In the coming weeks, we will display these letters in the office foyer.
⭐️ We are a school of excellence that leads the way in reconciliation through connection, pride and belonging

⭐️ Today we acknowledge Mabo Day, commemorating Eddie Koiki Mabo and his successful challenge to the legal fiction of terra nullius (‘land belonging to no-one’).
