For those who knew our dear Hippo, I wanted to let you know our grand old girl died recently. Surrounded by love and held with love, she left this world knowing she was adored.

A lovely friend posted some words by Jim Carrey recently, in relation to a loss of their own -and I’d like to share them:

“There is no timeline, no right way to grieve. Some days will be heavy, some will feel lighter. Some moments will bring unexpected waves of sadness, while others will fill you with gratitude for the love you were lucky enough to experience. Honour your grief, for it is sacred. It is a testament to the depth of your heart.
And in time, through the pain, you will find healing - not because you have forgotten, but because you have learned how to carry both love and loss together”

She certainly was a gift in our lives, and will live on in our hearts 💜 Wednesday, Wulluff, and Maude are doing ok x

✨ New research is shining a light on a groundbreaking trauma therapy: Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR).

Unlike traditional approaches that focus on thoughts and emotions, DBR works at the foundation of the brain — the brainstem — where our survival responses to trauma first begin.

By targeting the moment of traumatic shock, DBR may release what’s “stuck” in the body, reducing the intensity of raw emotions and helping other therapies work more effectively.

Early trials show DBR could be as effective as gold-standard treatments — offering hope for those who feel traditional therapies haven’t gone deep enough.
