Meet Olive 💛

After being part of our Orana Home Care community for many years, Olive has recently made the move to Orana Aged Care in Kingaroy.
Support Worker Nathan was there to welcome Olive with a beautiful bunch of flowers as she arrived home.

While the Home Care team will miss seeing Olive regularly, with Home Care and Aged Care co-located, they won’t have to miss her for long and are already looking forward to popping in for a chat!

A huge congratulations to the residents, volunteers and staff at Wahroonga Aged Care, who achieved an incredible result at this year’s local Biloela show.

The team brought home:
🏆 8 first place ribbons
đŸ„ˆ 7 second place ribbons
🌿 The highest horticulture points awarded across all floral and plant arrangements entered

An incredible achievement and a proud reflection of the talent, teamwork and passion that shines throughout the Wahroonga community 💚

There was quite the buzz at St Paul’s Aged Care in Caboolture for World Bee Day!
Residents enjoyed honey tasting, bee hive making, crumpets and honey milkshakes, plus a very cute photo setup where everyone could dress up as a bee 🍯

This Trinity Sunday, we reflect on the importance of connection, love and walking alongside one another. The day celebrates the relationship at the heart of the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit - three in one, bound together in love.

These beautiful artworks were created by Irene Scheemeijer, a resident at Trinder Park Aged Care in Woodridge, during art therapy sessions exploring themes of nurture and shared journey.

The nest with three eggs symbolises care, belonging and togetherness, while the road painting reflects the experience of walking through life side by side.

A lovely reminder of the creativity, wisdom and perspective our residents bring to our communities every day 💙

What begins as a search for safety can, over time, become something more.
In 2025, a family supported by Mary and Martha’s reached an important milestone, moving into stable housing after three years.

Today, the mother has employment and her children are engaged, connected and thriving, reflecting the impact of long-term support and a safe place to rebuild.

At Lutheran Services, this is what ongoing, compassionate care can make possible, supporting people not just in moments of crisis, but as they move forward with confidence and independence.

Dancing doesn’t just feel good, it supports mobility, balance and brain health too. Our DanceWise program is bringing the energy across our communities, with fun, inclusive sessions that get everyone involved.
It’s quickly become a favourite across our sites, with facilitators embracing the program and residents loving every session.
We’re already seeing the difference, with more energy, confidence and connection. Families are noticing it too, sharing that their loved ones are brighter and more engagedđŸ•ș

For many women and children, arriving at a refuge can feel overwhelming, uncertain and unfamiliar.

Having a place that feels safe and people who show care, consistency and understanding, can make all the difference in those early moments.

At Lutheran Services, this is part of the work we do every day through Mary and Martha’s, supporting women and children to find safety and begin rebuilding their lives.

This Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, we’ve introduced a new way for our community to support this work, helping ensure contributions go directly towards safe accommodation, essential items and practical support for women and children.
